Kinoba – A Full Immersion in Digital Project Management and Business Development
Context
During my studies, I had the rare opportunity to complete a three-year work-study program at Kinoba, a web agency. I say “rare” because Kinoba gave me real trust, allowing me to learn directly in the field. I was heard, supported, and encouraged to take initiative. I grew constantly thanks to constructive feedback and a type of management that helped me become aware of both my strengths and my areas for improvement.
Throughout this experience, I wore two main hats: Project Manager and Business Developer.
Project Management – Structure, Coordination, Delivery
As a Project Manager, I was directly involved in the production workflow:
Led projects using Agile methodology
Facilitated client and internal meetings
Planned and organized sprints and tasks
Coordinated technical teams and external contributors
Anticipated risks and ensured smooth project execution
Ensured deadlines and deliverables were met
Maintained direct communication with clients, with full autonomy
This part of my role taught me how to be structured, to manage people and time efficiently, and to always keep a strategic overview while remaining attentive to client needs.
Business Development – Strategy, Relationships, Growth
At the same time, I was actively involved in the agency’s commercial development:
Gained a deep understanding of the business challenges of a growing company
Set up strategic partnerships to generate new leads
Designed a customer loyalty program
Created sales meeting frameworks and complex commercial proposals
Wrote cold calling scripts and objection-handling responses
Managed client relationships (account management)
Took part in contract signing, negotiation, and post-sale follow-up
Improved our CRM system and led weekly sales meetings
Handled lead qualification, outbound prospecting, and technical scoping
Created quotes and invoices, and managed sensitive financial matters
Attended professional events (trade shows, meetings)
Worked under NDA on sensitive projects
Trained new team members on our internal processes
This business-focused experience gave me a sharp understanding of what drives agency growth and allowed me to develop practical, cross-functional skills.
Vision and Learning
This journey at Kinoba has been, without question, the most transformative experience of my career so far. It offered me real autonomy, consistent skill-building, and valuable exposure to complex, real-world challenges. While balancing my academic program (about 30% of my time), I had the chance to take part in high-impact projects alongside both internal teams and clients.
What’s next?
Despite everything I’ve gained from my time at Kinoba, I feel ready for the next chapter. Starting in September 2025, I plan to move toward new opportunities, more aligned with my long-standing personal ambition: to support and manage artists.
This vision has been growing for years, and I now feel fully equipped thanks to everything I’ve learned at Kinoba to take that next step with confidence, structure, and purpose.
